Contracts: Football
In Pro, every player you hold comes with a contract. Think of it as how many matches that player can keep turning out and scoring for you. When a contract runs out, you renew it to keep them in your squad. You manage all of this on the Squad page, on the Contracts tab.
How contracts work
- Every active player uses one contract match for each tournament they play.
- A contract runs for up to 8 matches.
- When a contract reaches 0, that player will not enter tournaments or earn rewards until you renew them.
The Contracts tab groups your players into three states so you can see who needs attention:
| State | Matches remaining |
|---|---|
| Active | 3 or more |
| Ending Soon | 1 to 2 |
| Expired | 0 |
Renewing a contract
Tap a player to open their renewal panel, then choose how many matches to add. The minimum renewal is 4 matches, and a contract can hold at most 8. You can also select several players and renew them together.
What a renewal costs
Renewals are paid in Gold, and the cost scales with the player's current price and how many shares you hold. The more shares you hold in a player, the more it costs to keep them on the books.
Renewing several matches at once earns a discount on the whole renewal:
| Matches added | Discount |
|---|---|
| 5 | 5% |
| 6 | 10% |
| 7 | 15% |
| 8 | 20% |
In Pro, Gold is always 1:1 with USDC on Base, so a renewal draws from the USDC funding your in-game wallet.
