Tournaments and Rewards: Football
Tournaments are where your squad competes. Finish well, earn Gold, and use it to strengthen your squad.

TL;DR
- You enter tournaments automatically by holding eligible active shares
- Top performers by position earn Gold from the prize pool
- Lock-in timing determines eligibility. Signing after lock-in does not count.
- Rewards are distributed at 4PM UTC the day after the final match
When tournaments happen
During WC 26, tournaments run as gameweeks aligned to the WC 26 schedule:

Each gameweek is its own tournament. Results are finalised and rewards distributed before the next gameweek begins.
How to enter
You do not manually submit a lineup. To be eligible, hold active shares in players before their lock-in. If the player enters the pitch during the tournament window, they score and can place.
Lock-in
A player's lock-in happens when they enter the pitch.
- Shares you held before the player entered the pitch are eligible
- Shares signed after the player entered the pitch are not eligible for that tournament
How rewards are determined
Three things affect your rewards:
- Your eligible active shares in a placing player. More shares means a larger cut of that player's reward.
- Total eligible active shares across all managers. More competition means the pool splits further.
- Player performance. Only top finishers per position earn rewards.
Rewarded positions per tournament:
- Forwards, Midfielders, Defenders: top 5
- Goalkeepers: top 3
Reward distribution table
Rewards are a percentage of the tournament prize pool. The prize pool grows as platform market volume increases.

The five rewarded outfield places per position add up to 28% each (84% across the three positions), and the three rewarded GK places add up to 16%. Together they account for the full 100% of the prize pool.
Example: You hold 500 out of 1,000 total eligible active shares for a 1st-place midfielder. You receive 50% of the 12% prize pool allocation for that player.
Distribution timing
Rewards are distributed at 4PM UTC on the day after the final tournament match.
Example: Final match ends at 8PM UTC on the 14th. Rewards arrive at 4PM UTC on the 15th.
Claiming rewards
Go to Home, find the Tournament Complete block, and tap Reveal Winners to claim your Gold.
Strategy notes
- Pick players who score well in the tournament format, not just big names
- Balance consistent scorers with higher-upside picks
- Plan around the full match window, not individual games
- Check lock-in timing before making last-minute signs or releases
Common mistakes
- Signing after lock-in and expecting the shares to count
- Reacting to one match result instead of looking at the full window
